I never expected to post about a concert by a Mongolian folk metal band, but now and then YouTube throws something truly special your way, and when they stop by your city you just have to see them. As it turned out, these guys put on one hell of a show.
A last-minute ticket purchase turned out to be the best gig of the year so far! It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced a night of such pure unadulterated punk rock energy.
I was already plenty pumped to hear the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra play John Williams’ greatest hits, but this special celebration of the 90th birthday of the film score maestro turned out to be even more magical.
Another concert that got delayed and delayed and delayed yet again finally happened! Great show with something old, something newer, and a country cover of Eminem I never knew I wanted.
I kicked off the Easter long weekend with this lively and funky show by the husband-wife duo from Mali. I love our homegrown talent but it’s great to finally see an international act after nearly two years!
I had a very lovely evening at the Melbourne Recital Centre, listening to one of my favourite records from last year played live with a 17-piece chamber orchestra.
A Friday night show at the beautiful Forum Theatre, featuring one of our finest Australian singers-songwriters. I missed that faux night sky and the Greco-Roman sculptures!
