Hello there. I’m a Russian-born Australian who lives in Melbourne and works as a graphic designer. Creativity has always been very important to me, as a mean of self-expression and escape from everyday worries. I think I can fully credit the world of imagination for getting me through childhood and adolescence.
Originally, I was going to create a blog to document the making of my current artwork, but now it’s devoted mostly to film reviews, as well as other interests like music, books, travel and my favourite computer role-playing games. And cats.
Some of my favourite things: eating Nutella with a spoon, Star Trek: The Next Generation, French Impressionists, the sound of a purring cat, Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, balmy evenings in summer, photography books, deep conversations, colour red, live gigs, belly dancing, the guitar solo in Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb, overthinking.
By the way, Yggdrasil is a giant cosmic ash tree which, in Norse mythology, spans the nine worlds. I’ve no idea how to pronounce it, but I always loved the word and I just feminised it a bit.
