I’ve done these illustrations years ago to help out my brother, who was participating in a competition where you needed to collect a bunch of weird and random objects. One of them was a chess set based on a video game, so I made up this set based on the characters from Commander Keen 4, a game we’ve spent crazy hours on when we were kids. I think we just cut the figures out and stuck them onto small pieces of cardboard so they would stand. It won my brother first place!
After making my way through about 50 shades of grey fabric, the background is finally done! Mum’s dining table can now remain nice and clean while I work on the character figures.
An illustration I did way back in uni for an annual report project. Mine was for a fictional cat food company called Smart Cat. See if you can spot the cat that’s clearly an impostor 🙂
At the moment, I’m doing my first-ever commissioned artwork. I often had an idea of keeping some kind of progress journal and documenting the stages of my artworks, but I was just never motivated and organised enough. Now that I have this blog thing, I’ve finally decided to try and take the in-progress photos once a month. Better late than never and all.
