Melbourne International Film Festival is on and I’ve signed up for a bunch of movies. First up, I saw this documentary about Kiwi singer-songwriter Marlon Williams and his journey to connect with his Māori heritage.

Last time I saw Marlon Williams he played a much smaller venue, but now this Kiwi boy has gone up in the world playing the beautiful Forum Theatre, a sold-out show no less! A promotion he thoroughly deserves.

Because the venue’s parking was full and I wasted time looking for a street parking that would allow me to use a credit card, I missed out on the opening act. Honestly who’s got $10 in coins in their wallet? But maybe it was a blessing in disguise since I seem to get tired a lot more quickly these days standing at a concert.
