MSO: A Reflection in Time @ Hamer Hall

Another wonderful night with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, featuring the ultimate tearjerker, a local violin wunderkind, and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.
MSO: Vivaldi and More @ Hamer Hall

Who doesn’t love Vivaldi’s Four Seasons? It’s one of my favourite pieces of classical music, and it was amazing to hear it live as performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
MSO: The Planets @ Hamer Hall

A magical evening at the Arts Centre, where I finally got to experience one of my all-time favourite classical suites, Gustav Holst’s The Planets.
Mozart Requiem by Candlelight @ St Paul’s Cathedral

Mozart’s final masterpiece is one of my all-time favourite classical works, and it sounds even better when framed by the gothic splendour of St Paul’s Cathedral.
MSO: Beethoven Symphony No. 9 @ Hamer Hall

Good things come to those who wait! I got tickets for this Melbourne Symphony Orchestra concert all the way back in October last year, and experiencing Beethoven’s epic final symphony live was truly worth the wait.
New Music 07/2021 – Fanny Lumsden, Carpenters, Mozart

Chamber Philharmonia Cologne @ The Scots’ Church
It’s been a while since I’ve been to a classical music concert, in fact I think the last time was about two years ago when this string ensemble played in Melbourne. The new program, featuring pieces by Vivaldi, Bach and Saint-Saëns, made for a delightful evening out.
