Thanksgiving is this week’s theme from That Artsy Reader Girl. We don’t celebrate it Down Under, but I thought I’d run with the general idea of harvest and farming.

1. Animal Farm by George Orwell

2. The Farmer’s Wife by Helen Rebanks

3. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

4. The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing

5. Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons

6. A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley

7. The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough

8. The Horror at Criven Farm by Amy Cross

9. My Ántonia by Willa Cather

10. Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

We don’t celebrate it here in the UK. We have Black Friday though 😂
This is an interesting list. I’ve read Of Mice and Men. I want to read Anne of Green Gables.
Have a great week!

What a great twist on the theme. I’ve read a few of these. Loved The Thorn Birds!
Here’s mine for this week: It’s Thanksgiving over in America this week so this week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is a thanksgiving freebie. Have a look at what books I chose to fit the theme.

I love your take on this week’s theme. I find myself putting out a gift guide of some sort around this time of year. So it makes sense to do it this week.

I remember really enjoying reading Of Mice and Men as a school student, but it’s one of those books I want to re-read as an adult. Curious to see how I’ll feel about it now! Great post 🙂

I really liked Of Mice and Men when I read it a million years ago. Still want to read Animal Farm though.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

Now that I think of it, I haven’t read many books set on a far. I’d like to though.

Fun topic! I like to read books set on farms, but I’m glad to visit them only fictionally. Farming seems like REALLY hard, neverending work.
Happy TTT!
