Water is this week’s topic from That Artsy Reader Girl, so my list is all about lakes, rivers, oceans and other bodies of water.

1. The Sea, The Sea by Iris Murdoch

2. River Sing Me Home by Eleanor Shearer

3. The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman

4. The Lake by Natasha Preston

5. Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys

6. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne

7. Under the Bayou Moon by Valerie Fraser Luesse

8. The Bell in the Lake by Lars Mytting

9. Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield

10. A River Called Time by Courttia Newland

The cover of Valerie’s book is really pretty! I love the coloring and shading. So pretty. 🙂

Really cool covers. I like the editions you highlighted. The only book on your list that I’ve read is the classic, The Wide Sargasso Sea. I absolutely hated that book. Ha!

So many stunning covers! I don’t have 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea on my list this week, but I do have a recent retelling.
